satanish: Just kidding! I could go all! Day! Long! (I'm running out of old white men I know.)
Since she has yet to appear in the DCEU, Raven's world will be the same but her canon basis will be drawn from the rebirth of Raven in the mid-aughts. Long story short: After purging her mortal flesh and freeing her demonic spirit of Trigon's evil, Raven floats about the world seeking belonging. A cult of Trigon worshippers summons her soul into the body of a young woman with the intent to indoctrinate her through a wedding to their leader, Brother Blood. Endgame: Armageddon. Raven escapes her suitor and banishes him and his followers to a hell dimension.

After, she takes the name Rachel Roth (her mother's maiden name) as her civilian identity, having regained some memories of her past life. She continues to try to accustom herself to the physical world again. And people. Though she must keep all her emotions repressed, she is learning to express herself in other ways. Check the tramp stamp.

She still talks like a weirdo.

Tweaks for the purposes of RP: Raven has been aged up to mid-20's and her past life/experiences do not include the Teen Titans, nor were they a part of her rescue (however, other characters can slot themselves into that role for handwave CR), so she has never teamed up before. She has existed mortally before and had friends (insofar as she is capable) so assumed CR is good there too. Otherwise those memories will have faded to vague impressions, unlike her childhood in Azarath.

Raven was taught to never frown. To never smile or cry or laugh. Anger, joy, fear, pain. They were all exploitable by her father's side. And it was forbidden to express feelings of love or concern toward Raven throughout all of Azarath. For her first seventeen years, Raven felt nothing. The only spark of any emotion she could understand at all was the hatred for her father.

When Trigon threatened Earth, Raven traveled there to help stop his arrival. To face him on the mortal plane for the first time. She sought out the help of the Justice League, but they turned her away. She then gathered together the Teen Titans, and they repelled Trigon's attack -- many times over.

Until, finally, her father was destroyed. But though the devil that was Trigon had been vanquished, his influence over his daughter had not. Raven was always meant to follow in Trigon's footsteps. And eventually, that side of her took over. Her flesh betrayed her soul.

It was not until her body was vaporized that Raven was truly free -- free of her corrupted shell.

Powers: Raven can see into someone's soul and sense the state of their heart. She can influence their emotions to relieve them of pain. She can do these things without meaning to if she has an emotional connection to the target. She can enforce calm on a person or a crowd by eating their anger, leaving them devoid of it for a short while. Currently she has no control over this and automatically consumes the feelings of others when they are heightened.
